Submersible Pumps

Submersible drainage type pumps are centrifugal pumps, and are normally single impeller. They commonly are rescessed (vortex) impeller type pumps. Submersible pumps are commonly put in applications to aerate water or to pump liquid containing solids and other materials. They work in very adverse conditions and are engineered to operate in aggressive environments.

There are several main formats that this style of pump will be available in. These are:

High Flow: Submersible pumps with open type impellers designed to pump large volumes of relatively clean water such as storm water or grey water.

Recessed Impeller: Also called vortex pumps, these pumps can pump squishy solids immersed in liquids such as sewerage.

Grinder Pumps: These pumps have the ability to process material and utilize a grinding mechanism, used in the treatment of raw sewerage.
